I recently booked a stay at a charming guesthouse in Pretoria and while it had potential, I was left feeling somewhat underwhelmed. The spacious double room came with a nice balcony and a cozy atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee while gazing at the mountain views. The lack of furniture in the communal areas and the overall cleanliness were definitely a letdown. The vacuuming seemed to have been overlooked, and I found some unexpected decor that I could have done without. On the plus side, the free Wi-Fi and private parking made my stay a bit more convenient, and I appreciated having a microwave at my disposal. But honestly, with a bit more care and attention from management, this place could transform into a true architectural gem reflecting the warm hospitality and rich history of the region. For now, I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you're after a polished experience - I wish it had lived up to its potential!
